about the artist

I am Chase and Ella’s Mom. I could tell you I always wanted to be a photographer and that I couldn’t imagine doing anything else, but that has not always been the case. I actually went to college for graphic design, and after working two years in the field, knew I needed something else, something was missing. I then went back to school for my certificate to teach art. I taught high school art for seven years. When my husband and I were looking for a photographer for our wedding, I became interested in photography. At that moment, a seed was planted, and my passion for becoming a photographer started to grow. After the birth of our son, I was fortunate enough to stay at home with him. This time has given me the opportunity to really pursue my passion.

I have a drive and determination to learn everything I can about photography. When you have a passion so deep that it drives you– that is what it means to truly live, in my opinion. I am a self-taught photographer. I think there is something to be said about an artist who teaches herself.¬†Granted, “self-taught” is a term that should be used loosely, as I really did not teach myself anything. Through books and other photographers, I have grown and traveled to where I am today on my journey, and for them I am forever grateful.

I began this journey in 2008 and I continue to challenge myself daily. I have a strong work ethic and that same passion that fuels my fire is the same one that will bring you what you are looking for. I strive to create a total experience that ends in beautiful artwork for your walls. I want to decorate your home with memories. Treasuring the time we have with our loved ones and documenting it is so important to me.

My family is the inspiration of my business. I am a full time Mom and part time photographer. I am so blessed with two beautiful children and a supportive husband.

I love what I do and I want to document this time in your life for you!
